I lived here for a little over 3 years in a 2-bdrm/2-bath w/ attached garage. From day 1, the staff was always very friendly and helpful: my neighbors were always nice. I didn't see the 'low-life' folks I've been reading about in other postings on this site...probably because I was enjoying the inside of my place too much.

The only down-sides: 1]my apartment faced the street, which made the porch dirty, and the porch was a bit too small for standard umbrella table and 4 chairs. 2] For a while, regular power outages in the whole area would occur on the hottest day and/or the first really rainy days. This past year...it seems to be fixed. 3] parking is tricky: I frequently had to wait for people to move their cars from the front of my garage so I could get in/out.

Some good things: 1] You can sign up for Comcast, SBC or whatever...all of which work great. 2] maintenance crews are constantly working to keep the grounds nice: I NEVER saw overloaded garbage bins or crap all over the place: and [most important!] *no* garbage smells even on the hottest days 3] All the kitchen appliances were fine...no cheap stuff. 4] lots of space: built in desk/bookshelves, big living room, big closets, full-size mirrors, great bathrooms.

I moved to another location to be closer to work: to another Archstone place that doesn't compare whatsoever to the quality of the Willow Glen staff, location, and building. Folks...not all Archstone facilities are equal! I wish I had done more reading on this site before moving...I would have stayed where I was!
