the apartments themselves are ok but the building is not safe.
1) the elevators are not up to code. on the weekends there were beer cans, piss, and trash every where. they are also unsafe not stopping properly.
2) the management of debi senter(not sure of the spelling) is severely lacking. she was doing crack while i was there. she gosips about tenents to other tenents, that is not profesional.
3) the 24 hour gym is a joke. the machines are of poor quality and do not provide enough
for residents.
4) every one who lives in vintage tower is required to have a back ground check. accept
the people who rent the parking spaces from vintage tower. they rent the spaces and are given keys to go through the building to make it more convient for them , this was not right.
5) the construction it self was not a problem, but the water pump breaking was. the building is old and the water pump is not seficient to meet the needs. so while taking a shower, making food, ect is intrupted on a weekly basis. we were promised that it was going to be fixed but from the day we moved in till we moved out (one year, 365days) it was not fixed. oh and the water was out for thanksgiving day of 2005. so if you guest wanted to use the bath room they were out of luck
6) there has been three deaths that i know about, 1 from a guy who fell while trying to rob an apartment on the 11 floor, one from a guy who jumped out of his apartment on marti gra and landed on a parking meter nine floors down and another guy who got stabed in front of taco delmar on a holiday, he died from the injury.
if you can put up with the buildings minor disfuntions it is a great place to live, i love the location a ended up moving 4 blocks away. love down town

Debi is a crackhead. Do you really think she does the background checks? I think the management should have a background check done.
