Severe crime problem From: avalon_is_unsafe Date posted: 1/13/2003 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2002   While I have enjoyed living in this complex for the past year I will not be renewing due to the rampant crime in the parking areas. There are car burglaries on a continuous basis and management has taken no action to stop this. Just drive through the garages on a moring and you will see broken windows in almost every garage. Before moving into this complex you may want to check with the San Jose police department to confirm this. There is one security guard that comes into the complex at 11:00 to lock the gym and close the pool and thats it. Management will not pay for security to stay in the garages at night, nor will they install cameras. I do not recommend this complex for single women, it is far too dangerous. Its just too bad , because it is a great location and the apartments are nice.
