I live here now and have to say that it is possible to have your car broken into, however I think it would be a rare occurance. I believe this sort of thing happens all over San Jose, so we get our share too. I've had my trunk broken into, my roomate has had his window broken on his car. There are often people returning home drunk at 2am, and its annoying. However, it seems like the back of the complex is quieter than the front - try to request a place there. Also the windows are really good, if you have to you can close it (this isn't fun on a hot evening though).
The positives of this place are that it is CLEAN, the apartments are CLEAN before you move in. The maintanence staff has always helped us when there was an issue (our issues were the hot water going out a few times). The grounds are kept very nice. There is a gym here, but if you are serious about working out, I dont think it is sufficient. But for the average person it should be fine.
Make sure your place is spotless before you leave, take photos if you have to, if you want all of your deposit back.
I recommend this place if you can tolerate some occasional noise. And remember to not leave anything valuable in your car. Ok thats all I can think of for now!
