NOISY: Between the airport nearby, dogs barking and the partying denizens not really priced appropriately for the noise/inconvenience. I have priced the market and similar sq ft new units are renting at least 15% less per month if not closer to 20%. If you live on a unit facing Julian Street or the winery the noise is almost unbearable at times. Car break ins/thefts have been an on going problem since I have lived here and the opening of
"low income" apartment complex right next door does not bode well for that decreasing.

Nice support staff but the Avalon Corp is about money not loyalty to good, loyal tenants. Every time your lease is up for renewal they will jack up your rent guaranteed even if half the units around you are empty. In my "pod"/stairwell of 12 units (4units x 3 floors) I have senority and only lived here 2 years so it shows you turn over is part of the philosophy of Avalon.

THERE ARE NO ELEVATORS in the COMPLEX SO MOVING or BRINGING IN GROCERIES IS A COMPLETE PAIN IN the BUTT if you dont live on the first floor.

I live at another Avalon and got the same kind of increase. I wonder if it comes from the corporate office and not the actual complex. I called the corporate office to complain about my complex staff and never got a return call. At any rate, I think every complex in California has problems with car break ins. I lived at Legacy before I moved to my current complex and they had this same problem. The service I get is a joke, so if you have good support staff, you're doing good. My only question is this: Didn't you know they don't have elevators when you move in??
