Less than 3 hours after receiving our keys, my leg went all the way through the dry-rotted planks on a 3rd floor landing, stopping at my hip. I am now able to work approx. 1/4 time, yet Avalon wants full rent. (They have accepted responsibility on the incident report and by filing for permits for all 13 buildings days after S.J. Code Enforcement visited the property at our request).
The accident took place Oct. 18th...so far they have repaired only the one dry-rotted plank-leaving a dangerous and hazordous situation. Management has been unwilling to do anything other than tell us that his primary job is to collect rents...
