About 45 days into our lease we began to experience major problems with the tennants above us. There was constant pounding, stomping and noise at all hours of the day, every single day. We asked our neighbors to try and be a little quieter and they refused. When we complained to the office they did nothing. Since we were past our 30-day move in date, we could not move to another apt. without a penalty. We complained everyday about the noise for weeks, Finally, we were told that we should call Atlas security when the noise got too loud and they would come out here. The office staff also told us that after three complaints (documentted by the security patrol) the tennants would have to move. We called the security so many times and still nothing. Another problem was the fact that it took the security over an hour to respond to our call. Then one night at 10:30 pm, our loud neighbor form above, came down to our apt, with her half-naked child in tow and proceeded to yell at us for calling security, because she has rights. I guess we didn't. It seems that the office staff felt the same way. After complaining for months, they basically told us we just had to live with it and keep calling security, because they not going to take action.

We also had a giant problem with ants. It started in a few places around the apt. and we called the office to have the apt. treated. After three treatments the ants got pissed off and decided to take over the apt. We were not leaving food out on the counters and they were still taking over. In fact, we would open our cupboards and find literally thousands of ants all over the walls and dishes. They infested our food and we had to throw a lot of food away. They began to roam freely in the bedrooms, bathrooms and living rooms as well. We called the office repeatedly trying to get them to fix this problem. They would only tell us to spray soap water and have a nice day.

Finally, I called the office and said they had two choices.

1. You move us to a 3rd floor apt and pay for the movers.

or

2. break our lease so we can get out of here.

They decided to break the lease, which shocked my wife and I but was a blessing.

We also had numerous problems with the staff. When we would call to complain, Louis would tell us that he was on his way over to see us. We would call back an hour later and find out that Louis was the only person there and never had any intention of coming to help us. We have been lied to by the management more times than we can count and getting ahold of the complex manager is like winning the lottery.

Take our word for it. This is the worst place you can move into. The staff acts friendly at first, but then you are nothing to them and they could care less about your needs. If you are considering this complex, I hope you chose a different place to live.
