I've lived at Avalon at Cahill Park for 4 months now and I couldn't be happier. My work moves me around a lot and this is the first time I've been relocated to the bay area, so I was nervous at first to say the least. I looked at all of the places right in the "heart" of downtown San Jose and all of the suburban areas, and I lived at one of the large complexes...for ONE WEEK. After living there and now that I've been here for awhile I realize that those places in the middle of downtown are just glorified dorms for the SJSU and SCU students. I wanted to be there because I thought that I would be so close to everything, but being here I'm just as close and I'm so much happier. I feel like I'm still downtown, without all of the crap I dealt with. I also think the staff here is much better. They've been so helpful. They make sure all of my packages get inside my apartment and the maintenance staff has been excellent (they even change my lightbulbs!). The move-in process was too easy and they completely explained the lease to me, and when I had questions they actually had answers. I'm so glad I went with Avalon, and wish I hadn't wasted that week if my life in the "heart" of noisy, messy, rude CRAP!
