Maybe we have low standards, but we have nothing but great things to say about our apartment and the management. We relocated from another area of Cali, where we lived in a 20 yr old apt that was never upgraded and had not been painted or cleaned at all before we moved in. The management was rude and incompetent, there were numerous lawsuits brought against them, and the city council had to step in several times when they tried breaking the law against tenants. And, we were paying more per square foot! We love the amenities, the larger floor plan (finally, room for a trash can in the kitchen!) the high ceilings, large patio, and the convenient location.
No apartment will ever be completely noise-free, even in the suburbs. Even homeowners can't control their neighbors. As for the parking, I'm glad the neighborhood surrounding is permit-only. Imagine trying to find a spot each night there was an event at the HP Pavilion - the permits are to protect the rights of local residents. If we can afford to live here once the economy in San Jose rebounds, we are definitely staying put!
