I really don't understand how residents can complain about parking & construction. First, the construction across the street is private, not anything to do with Avalon, so what is it exactly management is supposed to "do" about it' Second, parking situation is clearly explained when you move in. You get one parking spot in the garage. The free parking outside requires a city permit. Again, why is this Avalon's fault' Go talk to the city about both of these matters if you think you need to complain about something. We get a newsletter every month. Most months, management includes the contact information of the construction foreman of the project across the street should you have any concerns. Why not use the number rather than inexplicably complain ANONYMOUSLY on here' Quite the cowardly thing to do.

Finally, this place is pretty cool. I face the park, I have dogs, they have lots of dog friends, there's a party here every month STOCKED WITH FREE FOOD AND ALCOHOL, and I'm not talking cheese and crackers and a cup of beer. Management spends several hundred dollars on each party (I've helped shop for them, I know), plus they ask vendors to donate and contribute food or alcohol to boost the party even more.

Don't live here if you don't want to, but grow up and stop complaining about people who hae no control over the things you are complaining about.

I concur 100% with this review! The fact that the complainers didn't do their homework before moving in is not Avalon's fault. And what would you expect for living downtown anyway? The good points way overshadow any minor, temporary inconvenience...I've yet to find a PERFECT neighborhood any where, this is about ideal and perfect as you can get! I LOVE IT HERE!
