Great but worth the price'

This place is nice and in really great shape. The management is very helpful and maintenance is rapid and professional. The location is great for catching Caltrain, the VTA, or Amtrak if you need it. Noise is not too big of a problem if you live on the opposite side of the construction going on. They have been building the condos next to this building for over a year (which they have a noise permit for) and it shows no signs of being finished, but that is beside the point and should have no effect on the rating of this place. The interior and exterior is very nice and taken care of. The washer and dryer are very cheap but get the job done, while all of the other appliances are fairly nice. I have never been involved with the community activities but they are frequent and seem nice from the description.

The ONLY complaint I have is the price: prepare to pay the higher rent than most any other place in the area for roughly the same quality and amenities. Whether or not it is worth it will be up to you when you visit. If money is not too big of an issue this is very likely the place for you! For us they raised the rent 8% and it went from expensive to outrageous and FORGET having a pet here unless a $725 deposit and $35/mo pet rent does not disturb you. If you have another vehicle you will need a permit to park and you must ALWAYS have your hang tag showing or it will cost you $50 (Parking Enforcement folks come out of the wood work around here). You are required to keep renters insurance ($15/mo.). The water bill has averaged around $50/mo and I guarantee it is not my unit raising this high of a rate (I find this to be pretty high). You can almost count on one of the parking garage gates being broken at any time (I've been locked in twice when both were broken) but they try to fix it pretty quick since it happens so often.
