Great place to live... From: ShotgunSi Date posted: 5/2/2002 Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2001   We lived here from Nov 2000 to Aug 2001. Over all my first experience in an apartment complex was great. Our apartment was on the 3rd floor and we even had a woodburning fireplace. We also have a small 10 lb. dog, which they take with a small extra fee. Also I was able to get DSL from DirectvDSL in that area, with good speeds. Another perk is the option of a garage, which very few complex's have now a days. Another perk is the washer and dryer in each unit. By far the greatest assest that Avalon communites have is the staff that works there. The maintence staff truely kicks a$$ and responds most of the time the same day! One time I locked myself out of my garage on a Sunday and the maintence guy helped me out no charge. Since it was afterhours (and my fault) he was supposed to charge me but didn't :) Downsides were the high rent, which eventually dropped with market rates after we left. And its prety far drive to a true shopping center that needs a large grocery store, cleaners, coffee shop etc...
