I am very happy with my apartment at Blossom Oaks. The managment staff (Darlene) is outstanding. Having read a number of bad reviews, I still rented a unit here. I have not seen any evidence of the issues raised in prior reviews, such as management (reportedly, the previous managment is replaced).
For the price, the unit is decent. I find it *very* quiet at night compared to another expesive complex in which I had previously lived at. The condition is what you might expect of an older building, but I have seen fewer bugs on a regular basis, than I did at a different very expensive complex in a new building. I found some ants once, notified management, and they *prompty* sent a professional who took care of them completely within a few days.
The only bad thing to note is that I experience more of my neighbors strong cooking smells than I would like, but there are things that can be done to protect your airspace.
In the past, I had stayed at very expensive complexes which had medeocre management. I just can't stress how happy I am with both the management (especially Darlene) and maintenance. If you just notify them of the problem, they'll fix it promptly. My air conditioner didn't work when I first moved in, so they had it replaced immediately on the weekend. I mentioned I found some ants once, and they had a professional eradicate them (safely of course) and they never returned. I've had a few minor things fixed, like just asking for the bath tub to be re-caulked and door wall lock replaced, which a very courteous maintenance staff promptly and politely fixed. They even cover their shoes in bags before entering your place to keep it clean.
In the end I did move out, but only because I had outgrown my single bedroom apartment and decided to buy a house with the money I saved instead of upgrading to a larger apartment. I had *absolutely* no problem with move in or move out costs. They returned my entire deposit except for the less than average deduction for carpet cleaning, $60, which I found *very* reasonable. So in my account, I had absolutely no move out problems or costs, but I kept my place clean and ordered maintenance if there ever was anything.
Overall, I am extremely happy. In *my* experience, this was an outstanding value for the price. Realistically, experiences will vary. I simply offer my own account. Check it out yourself. Try to check it out at 10pm on a Friday night and see how nice and quiet it is. Do your due dilligence.
