They aren't luxury apartments, but that wasn't my expectation. I don't even care if the management is friendly--they're not--as long as they're honest. I had no problem during the year I lived here, but when I moved out things got pretty bad.
If you have to rent here, as I did when I couldn't afford anything else, be sure you list anything less than perfect in the apartment when you move in. I did not fill out the list, and so I was accused of damage that existed when I moved in. Also be sure to do a walk-through with management and a third party afterwards, and keep copies of all paperwork. They will try to keep your deposit if you can't show them proof that the apartment was in poor condition when you moved in.
Whatever you do, do not trust any "verbal agreements" the management makes. If you cover yourself, you'll probably be fine--but these are the kind of people who make it necessary always to think ahead about how you might be taken advantage of.
Tough lesson for me--hope this saves you some grief. I should add that the MAINTENANCE staff were very nice. It's the MANAGEMENT staff that are the problem.
