Cherry Creek Apartments

Nice apartment, bad neighbors. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/3/2001 Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2000   I lived here for approximately a year with a friend of mine from school. We both work fairly long hours (she's an EMT and works 24 hour shifts; I'm an auditor that works 15 hour days)and needed an apartment with a great commute. This was the perfect location. It's right by 280/880/87 freeway access and Valley Fair mall, so you really can't beat that. They've recently redone the place (and I think upped the rent) so our apartment had brand new paint, carpeting, and windows. They repainted the whole place which made it look a lot nicer. There was, however, no dishwasher included, which made things kind-of hard and there weren't enough machines in the laundry room in proportion to the amount of tenants that live there. One huge drawback: our old neighbors (we lived in the upstairs unit) played loud music with the same loud bass line until upwards of 4 am and smoked so much pot that it would creep up and come in through our windows. We would have kept the windows closed but during the summer, it's like a greenhouse in the apartment as there's no a/c or really any ventilation. You're allowed to buy an a/c and they will install it for free. We complained and complained about our neighbors and kept calling security on them but they were never evicted... just given many warnings over the course of 5 or 6 months with no good sleep for my roommate nor I as they were just too noisy. They finally moved out and were replaced with neighbors who are much worse. They are LOUD talkers. Neighbors are the luck of the draw in some sense, but I don't know... the walls are sort-of thin. Overall... it was a great little 2 bedroom place for a cheap price. Management is really helpful too.
