I hate to say it becuse I am low income but these people here are really low class. Move into these places if you like to live in apartments that are less than a year old and trashed already. The common areas walls are all beat up...stair wells are dirty....metal doors all banged up.......stuff spilt all over the walk ways. Not to metion this place is extremely noisy and there are constant parties and little kids running around screaming without their parents. For what you pay here for low income you can live in an older place that has less problems for cheaper. The apartments are made of the cheapest materials so after living here 4 months we have tons of problems with our place. My biggest complaint is the people who live here are morons and the managment sucks.

I can guarantee that the person who wrote this review was probably evicted and not a good tenant. This apartment is the best my family has ever lived in. We feel like we live in luxury and the maintenance here is great. They are on top of everything going on in the complex and repair things quickly. There were a few people who moved in our building that were loud and had too many people in their apartment, someone also busted the front door to there unit, they were promptly evicted. We have granite counter tops central air and heat and large bedrooms. I hope to live here as long as possible, our family is very comfortable.

NOT TRUE!

I've lived here at Cinnabar Commons for almost a year and have not experienced any of the issues that this person is complainng about...

My 1 and a half year old child and I are very happy living here. There is a lovely play area, a party room available for renting, and friendly families that just moved into our building. Not to mention that the management staff are very friendly and so are the maintenance people. One time I even left my car door open over night and the maintenance man shut it for me and warned me to be careful next time!

I can't believe this person wrote such a horrible review. I strongly believe that the anonymous complainer must've been evicted or not a good tenant to say such things.

Funny...I put in a work order for my A/C to be fixed the second week in June...I'm still waiting and now it's...September 23rd. Too bad it wasn't available for me to actually use over the summer. It get's kind of hot when you live on the third level. For the first month I was completely understanding...but now it's getting a little ridiculous. They haven't even contacted me to update me on the issue. I would have to say back in April I probably would have left a great review, but it has steadily declined since then. I spoke with a lady tonight and she said when she moved in back in April, the management sounded a little desperate to find tenants. Actions made out of desperation are never the best choices. Cinnabar Commons is no longer a great place to live.

To: jrh22aol and Anonymous- Hopefully they are repairing your items in a timely fashion now. What I would do is put your maint request in writing, if 30-days passes and it still is not repaired, there are instances where you can actually withhold rent. But, you may want to check with an attorney on this, or contact Project Sentinel, they can help with many issues at no cost, their phone number is (408) 720-9888. As far as the 1st response to the original email, it is funny, because I would put bets on this, that it was written by either the Manager, or someone working at Cinnabar. I have been in just one of the buildings recently and have seen that you can hear other people, and the screening process of the "type" of resident profile living there, is maybe not one you really want your family to get to know. As there is one Apartment in particular you can smell all there wonderful aromas in and down the hall, and it is not food nor regular cig smoke! It is more like the awful smell of pot. And what's up with the constant changing of rental amounts. I mean it is very unprofessional to change rent amounts if a new resident moves in and has lived there less than 6-months. She should know this. It would never fly with a "conventional" apartment community. That is just bad business! The manager should know this. This community is lucky as it is not governed by the rent control as most apartment communities are in San Jose. I do agree the amenities are nice, the apartments are fairly spacious and all, but the carpet. It reminds me of indoor-outdoor turf. This carpet, looks better in the photos on advertisements. It really would not cost that much to put regular carpet in, what $1,000 maybe $1,200? They certainly wanted to make sure there would be some longevity to it. Hopefully they will really review the increases they are giving as this is a Non-Conventional property and people come to live here to actually have money left to live on. And as far as leaving the car door open? That is funny. I do not know anyone who would do this in San Jose, without being worried the car might get ripped off. That was probably added to "praise" the maint. staff. Heat and Air are essential especially since this poor resident is on the 3rd floor. Ridiculous, wonder if the A/C ever got fixed? Another website to go to for assistance is the Cal Apartment Association , look under "renters rights".
