Slum living From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 2/11/2002 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002   Elevators always broken. Management never takes responsibility and blames it on someone else. "Security" lets random people in at all hours of the night.. but wouldn't help tenants when they're balancing grocies and trying to get the key to work in their nearly-dead locks. No ventilation. Smells like garbage in the halls and stairwells. People hate this place so much now that they end up treating it like a slum .. leaving garbage in the hallways. Takes them days to clean this up sometimes. Water leaks. BOTH bathrooms have had maintenance come in and destroy (2 weeks of work each time) the ceiling to fix leaking.. all within 6 months of each other. Garage leaks too. Need a gallon of liquid plumber each month as the pipes are ALWAYS clogged. Offices close at random hours. 3 people might be downstairs but they all take their 2 hour lunches TOGETHER.. and always leave inaccurage "Will Return" times. I've taken lunch breaks to talk to them about things and they're never there. Took 2 months to get my phone number programmed into the front "Door King". Every so often it gets removed and I have to spend many more hours talking to the idiots downstairs to get it fixed. Most of the tenants are SJSU students with 8 people to an apartment.. always drunk, playing loud music and smashing things in the middle of the night. Total Slum.
