From the parking to the management, these "luxury" apartments are far from luxury. The management is a hassle to deal with. Here's a list of problems I have experienced. 1st problem: I faxed them some documents needed for the signing of the lease, and they lost them. So I had to fax them again #2 parking hassles. First they say I will have a gated parking spot, then they call saying they don't have any available because they gave out all of their spots and don't have enough. #3 They claimed that my check bounced, and that I had to pay rent plus late fees within 24 hrs or be evicted. This was pure BS. My bank said that the Colonnade never tried to cash the check, and my statement shows no record that the Colonnade tried to cash the check. Yet the management insists that they tried to cash the check and it failed. besides management, the elevators are really slow, and get stuck often. Water stops working sometimes, and all that comes out of the faucets and showerhead is air. Cable and cable internet goes down at least once a month. Longest it's been down was one week. This might be a comcast problem though. Lobby door lock keeps changing, I'm on my third different lobby key. The list could go on but I think it's obvious that there are a lot of problems with this apartment complex. The only thing that it has going for it is that it's close to sjsu.
