Yo!

DO NOT LIVE HERE

Why pay top dollar to live in the projects' It's honestly a slum, advertised as luxury apartments. Management is ALWAYS changing every few months, and it doesn't really matter who it is, the manager just never gives a *expletive* about anything. The only staff that actually do anything helpful is the maintenance, and even then, you have to go through the amazing office staff who all have masters in hospitality management (sarcasm if you thought otherwise).

Corporate doesn't care about anything, and even they are terrible. We transferred from a studio to a 1 bedroom and had to pay an EXTRA security deposit we have still yet to receive back. Even called to complain about our ceiling that sprung a leak during the winter and the interior still isn't fixed.

Honestly, the place is deteriorating and they keep trying to hide the blemishes with cheap renovation (was said to have occured in 2003, but has only begun 2006), but sooner or later, the building will probably collapse on itself. Parking sucks also, and nothing happens when other cars are parked in your spot. Water is constantly leaking in the garage, probably from poor drainage from above (ceiling of garage has developed cracks), and cars get water damage from the drips.

Also, the water is constantly being turned off for maintenance issues regarding the complex, with little warning (inaccurate warnings of water shutoffs at the best). Is it even legal to turn off the water for 10 hour periods at a time, for consecutive days' Why pay for rent when you can't even have running water. Lately, there's been a cockroach problem too.

pros to living here: convenient for SJSU students, nice surrounding restaurants, prime downtown location

Cons: bad management and unfriendly staff, poor living conditions, running water for only 75% of the time, cockroach infestation, theft, crazy neighbors, noise problems, elevators and doors/garage are CONSTANTLY out of order, and so much more I don't have time to list.

Also, here's an article from the Metro a few years back, predicting the truth...
