So let me understand this, they offer a gated community and patrols at night and you are still blaming the management because some jackass broke into your apartment? Get over yourself, crime happens everywhere! You could live at any apartment complex and have a somebody steal from you. You could leave your car in the parking lot of the grocery store and somebody could steal it. Sounds like you need a personal security guard so you can feel "safe".

I think what he is trying to say is that it is a false sense of security and the fact that they try hard to not disclose or conceal that information. My car was broken into also and they were suprised but in the office there were two other people with real serious problems. The funny thing is that there was only 3 of us so a 100% odds is quite a statistic.

xyz, are you one of the janitors or office workers there? Because the truth is this place is not safe at all. A few months ago someone broke my car window just to steal a pair of sun glasses and an iPod. Thank God, I no longer live there.

Hearing about this kind of activity is important. Why isn't the management posting flyers or sending letters to warn folks and get a neighborhood watch going? I'll tell you why, because they are worried they will LOSE RESIDENTS. Perhaps they will, but it feels very irresponsible (and perhaps civil/criminally negligent) to keep this information away from their residents. Bottom line is money....if they cared, truly, the mgmt would post these warnings for the residents' PERSONAL SAFETY as well as the safeguard of their property. Does it take a physical attack on someone (who may surprise the thief or burglar in the 'act') to make the Evening news to get the mgmt to do the right thing and WARN the residents? I call it IRRESPONSIBLE on the mgmt's part. PERIOD.
