Management sent us a letter offering a 3 month renewal of our lease, which we accepted three weeks before the due date. The lease was typed up for 3.5 months instead of three. When we questioned management about this, they cited a policy change where tenants must renew until the Sunday after their move-in date, and that we would be required to pay for the extra half month. After presenting management with the letter they sent us, they refused to honor the three month lease, told us that we had an attitude problem, and made us leave. They refused to provide this policy change to us in writing, possibly because they are discriminating against us for moving out soon. We have filed a complaint with the BBB. We recommend that prospective tenants stay away from this community. We have lived there for almost three years, but in the past nine months, the management staff has developed a very unpleasant, and downright rude attitude toward all of its residents. I have never once heard in the past nine months, "I am sorry sir or ma'am, we will try to make this right for you," or at least "let me see what I can do to help." The answer is always the same, "this is our policy, and if you don't like it, you can move out." Elan used to feel like a home, but now it feels like a cheap inn, courtesy of poor management.

I totally agree with this review! I lived in Elan during 2006-2007. The managment team is so rude and cheap. Elan's parking lot is so messy and ofter hot liquid dripping down to the surface of car. My car's painting is rouined by these acid liquid. I presented to the managment, but they refuse to pay for repair fee. They claim that it is my own fault. I need to complaint to BBB as well. Thanks for reminding me!!
