Make sure you live on the top floor so you're the one making the noise, not the one suffering from it...because you'll suffer a lot. There are lots of couples with little kids that likes to run around their home 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. And all you'll hear is boom boom boom even when your TV is on full blast. HELLISH NIGHTMARE place to live.
If safety can be ignored, this place might get a 2/10 from me. But safety is a huge unsolved issue at Elan. My car was burglarized TWICE in the past 3 months. Management knows ---- about good security. Given the price you have to pay to stay at this place, do yourself a big favor and go somewhere else.

Exactly....they do charge too much for what is offered. I agree with the upstairs neighbor sounds..floors are very thin. Walls between neighbors are alright. However, don't be conned by the staff giving the line of bull about how their prices are 'competitive.' They only seem to be reading from the 'party line' instructed by their management to give. Yes...folks ARE paying the high price...because they are in a lease. (Don't break a lease here...you will pay dearly). So the indicators for the market of rent are ALWAYS lagging since the person must serve their lease, then leave if they want a better deal. I'm tired of negotiating this each time they raise my rent...when they state, "we are giving you a competitive price compared to the market rates". I call them on this false statement each and every time as it insults my intelligence....but they just don't give a damn. They charge high rent with minimal service and cleanliness because they can GET AWAY with IT. Believe me; there are better deals out there. We are forced to live in an older apt and won't have our place 'rennovated' with new kitchen/rugs, appliances until we move out. I plan on doing so when my lease expires; because guess who is ultimately paying for the upgrades...it's not Elan.
