Update:
My rent is up 30% from 5 years ago - more than the average increase in the area.
Also, renters insurance is now enforced for new leases.
Above all, the new management (3rd or 4th change in 5 years''), is the worst to date.
I'm ready to leave whenever I get a chance...

When it was a brand new complex and rent was cheaper (and under original management), the Esplanade was a great place at a great deal! But now, more than four years later, a lot has changed at the complex, perhaps a majority of the tenants spend only a year or less, and it's hard to give this complex anything but neutral reviews. Management quality has decreased, the apartment conditions have degraded considerably in their short lifetimes (including maintenance issues management commit to fix, but never do). And ultimately, the prices have been going up fast the last year or so. All that said, I don't know of any better apartment complex in the immediate area... but I'm actively looking!

Let us know if you DO find a better complex in the immediate area, but so far, I haven't found one, either.

You guys got to look farther. Since I started looking, I found any place is better than this place. I did find one in Saratoga area. It's only like 15 min drive to the Esplanade. I can't tell you which one though cause I'm really low key. huh.. Trust me! Any place is a lot better than this suck place. You will be so happy that you pay less rent & live in a better environment. BTW, you have to expect you may not get your deposit back because they are VAMPIRES.

Dear Residents, We have owed the community for about three years and in this time there has been two Managers - both are still with the company and were promoted to their current position. Any feedback on how we can make it better, is very appreciated. We did recently require all residents to have insurance. We did this because we found that issues such as fires and other damage is typically caused by someone in the building and not due to the building in general. Renter's insurance protects our residents from spending out of pocket if such things happen. Most people feel better knowing that their neighbor has insurance in case they overflow a tub or have another such accident. If you feel comfortable addressing your other concerns with the office, I would be very thankful. Thank you again for your feedback, Dana David, Regional Portfolio Manager.

I live here and am disgusted with how this apartment complex has turned sour. You once offered free carpet cleanings with a lease renewal - no more! 11 or 10 month leases only to have the rent go up more than 100 dollars each time? Seems to be the standard now. I have had many friends that I have had to warn AWAY from this once great apartment complex. Our car was broken into, and only AFTER did they warn us that the security locks were disengaged for fire reasons. UNACCEPTABLE. If you want to keep residents happy, a few minor concessions should not be that hard to do! A free carpet cleaning ESPECIALLY when keeps YOUR carpets looking their best would seem to make sense. Stop treating your tenants like you are doing us a favor renting here - we could all find better! New management is HORRIBLE. Renters insurance is fine, as I have lived in other truly "luxury" apartments that require it but to raise rents like this is going to make us all look elsewhere. A happy tenant is a good tenant.
