Horrible Management

Nice place, but if you were bleeding and your baby daughter was about to trip and fall into a volcano, the management staff would not only let you die in a pool of your own blood, they would kick your kid in and video tape it for YouTube if you haven't paid your rent.
Zero assistance or leniency in any matter whatsoever, be it lease issues or AN ENDLESS MOTH INFESTATION OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS. NOT A JOKE. We literally pleaded with them to clear out the larvae and maggots that were breeding and spawning into horrible, ghastly flying monsters and eating all our stuff, but we were left in the cold.
If you are wondering how we fared, we ended up taking matters into our own hands and killed them after a month long battle. Corpses are littered across the apartment to this day. Our victory was in no way indebted to our horrible landlords, who I am pretty sure planted the aliens there to begin with.
The hallways smell like Ovaltine, the dogs are racist, mutant crap machines, and the management staff would rather see you set ablaze in front of your loved ones than give you any slack in regards to billing. If you feel like shelling out $2500/mo for a year-long torture session, be my guest. Don't say we didn't warn you.

I totally hear you! They want their money and they want it now. The girls in the office act nice, but once you leave the office I'm sure they're plotting something to charge you for. I'm so glad our lease was up and we're out of there.
BTW, my dog was not racist, he loved everyone--and I cleaned his doodlies. But I can't speak for everyone else, I saw poop everywhere.
Oh, and the issue with the security deposit, they get you for everything and take it all. So I asked what needs to be done when you move out. Manager says: clean under the fridge, under the stove. Dust your blinds (which I looked up security deposit refunds & they stated that is technically the landlords responsibility). If a table or chair has scratched the wall, they will repaint & charge you. A lot of these things are supposed to be covered by them, but they will charge you, probably because not many people occupy these apts so they must make up for lost profits by overcharging the current tenants.
I hate The Esplanade. Never live here. And sorry to those that do reside here. I'm glad the nightmare is over.

Wow ok, so I hate life too and while this place isnt the Ritz, well it isn't to blame for all your worldly problems either. Lifes tough, parking sucks everywhere in the world and yes even my mother made me clean my room before I moved out. -I actually came on here to see what my neighbors are paying for rent amounts to barter the office but after reading the crazy rants i gotta say--its an apartment, yes you can hear your neighbors if you get a bad one-Ive had 2, will problem get more soon-but that's true everywhere, yep dogs bark--they were born like that, if you scratch something yep probably gonna cost ya-. hmmm sad really I wanted ammunition to get lower rent and here I am on the otherside, crap I hate the internet.

from my experience, apartment complexes ALWAYS charge to repaint the apartment. It's just inevitable...I'm more worried about the OTHER things they will be nit-picky about when I move out. Like dusting the blinds. WTF? That's weird.
