Mixed Thoughts

Overall it's positive. My wife and I stayed there for 10 months. Our experience wasn't positive because, first, the apartment wasn't ready as promised when we initially moved in (the bathroom floor wasn't in). They had contractors from Carpeteria come in and do the work. My wife called me at work when she arrived home on the day of the installation to tell me that there was blood on the walls. We found a used bandage (taken from our personal medicine cabinet), ground-in stains on the carpet, traces of blood around the sink area and walls and our towels had been used to clean up after one of the installers had cut themself. The property manager credited us $100 on the next month's rent. (We paid in actuality $200 less and didn't hear any complaints.)

When I traveled abroad, the ancient stackable washer/dryer broker and spilt water into the living room area damaging the carpet beyond repair. It took them 2 weeks to clean it up. They had a high powered blower on the carpet to dry it up, at our electricity expense, of course.

Overall, if you don't have any maintance issues, you're fine, although the rent for the 1BD/1BA place we rented is now $2100.
