BEWARE!!

We lived here for 5 years. Guess we are gluttons for punishment! The units are spacious and if you are lucky enough to have a "remodeled" unit, I guess everything is up to date. Our unit was unfortunately not "remodeled" and had fridge/stove/dishwasher that were at least 20 years old. The dishwasher was finally replaced when it started leaking all over the floor the 4th year we were there.

I have no real complaints about the physical units themslves. The problem lies in the Management Company and policies. (1)It felt like management was in my apartment more than I was; there were months when we couldn't go a week without being notified that someone was going to enter our apartment for one thing or another. Come ON!! (2) We spent a good 3 days cleaning our apartment to ready it for the final walk through. The walk through was not even done by the Property Manager but rather that day's "lead" maintenance man. Everyone knows that Maintenance is all about "customer service"'' (haha). I'm just happy this one spoke English fluently. Anyhow, he informed me that "he was required to put something down for every line" of his little (legal size, font 8) check list. I'm sorry....but after living somewhere for 5 years, dings are bound to happen. This guy was unnecessarily nit picking and then letting obvious things go without a word! Simple smudges that could easily be wiped off were noted when bent blinds went unheaded. To make matters worse, I KNOW for a fact that the carpet is going to ripped out and the kitchen will be completely redone (cabinets/countertops, etc) so it will be "remodeled" like all of the other units on property.

On site management is LIGHT YEARS better than what was there 2004-2006 but I think the Lyon Property Mgmt is the culprit behind most of the woes at this property.

ALSO...DO NOT GET A UNIT NEAR ANY OF THE POOLS if you want to sleep or have any quiet. Keeping drunks out of the pools at night is obviously NOT the properties priority and it can get frustrating at 3AM on a Tuesday night when you have to be at work at 7am!

Finally, beware when walking on the grass! Altho most of the "new" dog owners are responsible, there are those few that really, really ruin the experience for everyone by not cleaning up after their pooches. Guess that comes with the territory though. At least the property is allowing dogs now; when we first rented it was cats only.

They did break the speed barrier on the deposit refund - - rec'd the refund check within 2 weeks of moving out!
