I've been at Kimberly Woods for more than 8 years. Am I crazy' I must be. But I'm happy with the dual master suite configuration of the 2-bedrooms -- and just too darned unmotivated to pack up and move. I agree with all the previous comments about the management and noise problems. KW seems to attract very incompetent staff who never stays around very long. When I have lived there for 5 years (I've been there 8 so far), I found out others were moving in for less than I was paying. When I asked management about it, they just threw their hands up and said "There was nothing we can do. We need to offer others incentives to move in." I guess they don't value long-term tenants. Give the opportunity, they will DEFINITELY gouge your wallet. One time, my rent went up by over $240 a month. The quality of tenants has noticeably deteriorated as well. Folks are doing a good job of turning the otherwise nice complex into a ghetto. However, I have to disagree about the maintenance folks. I have always found them to be very helpful and prompt. One thing that is seriously amiss is the insulation. It gets VERY hot in summer and VERY cold in winter, yet the mgmt. won't provide awnings for those of us whose apt. receive direct sun all day. The air comes in the cracks. Also, they have taken away many of the extras we used to get (in-home alarm system, discount on cable, etc.) and then spent $$$ to put in very lame "privacy gates", which are more of a pain than anything else.
