- Avoid units facing the construction sites. My interior courtyard-facing unit is pretty quiet but your mileage may vary.

- They allow pets (w/ $50 "Pet Rent") so be aware. I haven't had any problems with pet owners so far.

- Lots of Cisco/dotcom employees...Meaning lots of Indian and Asian families that tend to segregate and/or keep to themselves.

- Floors are coated in concrete treatment, so they are very solid...Insulates noise very well. Double-paned windows muffle noise as well as seal the apartment very well.

- Brand new apartments available as they complete contruction in phases...Ask to see those units first if you want a new unit.

- Central heat/air and in-apartment laundry. Very nice.

- Front office people busy but helpful. They sign for packages. Repair requests aren't tracked as well as I like, but they've never failed to fix the few problems w/ my unit.

- North Park is isolated and surrounded by office parks. Nice for keeping the riff-raff away, but it also means 30-45mins to drive to/from the nearest Safeway to pick up any last minute items.

- SBC/Yahoo is the only authorized physically wired DSL provider. You can get less expensive service via satellite broadband with your own dish.

- SBC Home Entertainment ( a rebranded DirectTV Service) is the only cable TV service allowed in the area. Comcast does not serve the complex. You can get cheaper DirectTV service with your own dish through a third-party reseller.

There is a Safeway is 3 lights down from North park (at Rivermark)- When I drive it takes 5 minutes. Can't imagine why it would take you 30-45 minutes. Are you walking? This just goes to show how fabricated these review are!
