The Laurels started going downhill when the Redwoods were built, but now that the Sycamores are here, the staff seems to have changed again and everything is being neglected in order to cater to the higher paying cliental. The grounds are not kept up as they used to be. Staff used to be helpful in the past but now that their priorities have changed, they could care less about old customers. There always seems to be trash overflowing in the garbage cans because people can't seem to find the hole to actually throw their garbage into, they just lay it on top of the can starting a pile. Garbage rooms have trash just thrown on the ground because of lazy residents, sometimes old furniture and crap is dumped in there and remains there for weeks until maintenance can clean it up. There is dog crap all over the parking garage because residents are too lazy to pick up after their pets, and the staff does not care to enforce cleanliness. I have seen more and more car break ins because the "secured" garage doors are often left open. It has been and continues to be loud, dirty, and dusty from ongoing, neverending construction. The business center is a joke. The copier is always broken as well as the fax machine, and the answer given by the staff is always, "Why don't you go over to the Sycamores, they have brand new equipment." Well, let me tell you again, the reason that I do not go over to the damn Sycamores is because I live at the Laurels and pay rent at the Laurels and expect the equipment to be taken care of here, but I forgot, the Laurels are the cheapest places on the block so who cares''' I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless one wants to pay high rent in a place that isn't well kept compared to sister properties. For the price I would rather rent anything at the Sycamores right now! All of the focus at Northpark is on the Sycamores now, so rent there if you want to move to Northpark!

I have lived at the Sycamores for 1 month now and see people parking here and walking over to the Laurels & the Redwoods on a daily basis. People even park in our garage. There is no finger pointing - it's actually happening. If your not doing it that's great that letter was not intended for you. I'm sure you would be just as upset as we are if your family members had no place to park. It's not because you guys don't have parking it's because some people live closer to our parking and are lazy. I do not go to the Laurels and park in you garage, trash your pool, break things in your business center, let my dog poop on your grass........ These are all things happening to us. So again if you are not parking over here why would you be offending by the letter? If I get a letter about something I am not doing I thow it away and don't think twice about it. You sound pretty angry about this issue ther must be something else behind it. Your neighbors at the Sycamores will miss you when your gone =)

Look in the mirror before you respond you hypocrite! Why do you care what I think about the letter? Why don't you learn proper English before posting here as well. You are not God because you live at the Stinkamores! It does not matter which property you live in, these properties were all built, and are owned and operated by the Irvine Company. Just because I live at the Laurels doesn't mean that my family has a place to park because I obide by the rules. Your idiot Stinkamore residents may very well park in our spots but we don't whine about it like you. The difference is, you pay more to rent an apartment that you don't own (waste of money in my opinion,) so they pay attention to your complaints because they want you to think that this place is heaven on earth. They did this for me when I moved in here and the Laurels were new, so believe me, your complaining won't phase them soon enough. Every property here has had their pool trashed, dogs pooping on the lawn, parking garage doors broken, business center equipment never working, etc. etc. etc. These things will fall on deaf ears soon enough for you as they have with all other communities at Northpark. So wah, wah, wah, wah, your family members might lose a pound by having to walk a little, poor things!
