I have been a tenant at Markham Plaza since the opening of their 1st bldg. and I am very happy here. Yes they are studio but you are shown them before ever filling out an application so you do know what you are renting, however you do not receive just the apartment you receive so much more. They have so much for the tenants to take part in and offer alot of ammenities as well. There is a pool table and sitting area for the tenants to use and a library as well. They have Bingo once a week and it's open to all. You have access to a computer lab, which is where I am typing from now, with 10 computers ready to use and a weigh room open to all. Next you have the community room were you can meet with friends, attend classes, watch movies and even get your back stretchedby the Chiropractor. We have had holiday festivities and morning greetings as weel here. Oh and don't forget the laundry facilities right on site actually a laundry room on ever floor that sure beats racing someone to the dryer in the laundry mat.
I tell you how can you possible ask for more at the prices they offer the apartment at.
The best part of the complex is your neighbors and the staff. We have really all grown together as a community and we have the staff to thank for that. The staff is so friendly and really know there tenants not just as an apartment # but as an individual as well, they are always there day and night they work long hard hours to give us a beautiful place to live. I was just a little surprised to read some of the other comments and I would also like to add that I know almost all my neighbors and do not recognize any of the name of the the complaints issued also I find it very odd that you would view an apartment fill out an application and move in if you feel that it is so bad why not chose elsewhere to live, hmm just seems a little odd to me to complain about the size of something you choice to rent. After all live does give you choices and you can always choose something else.
From start to now I have been very pleased with my studio and even more with the staff and the complex as a whole. I don't recall the staff ever telling me 3-5 days turn around time I have always heard them say more like 2-3 weeks, but I know some people do here what they wants especially when it is an emergency and you are in need of a place to live, but believe me I have seen this staff working all hours of the night to get people here and to really help those who are in need as long as they meet all the necessary requirements.
I was trying to think back to the day I pick my unit and I remember them giving me so many choices of units and being so patient with me as I made my choice all the time smiling and pleasant even though they may had 4-5 other people waiting to do the same and you know they gave the same care and devotion to each person as if they were the 1st appointment of the day. I have even seen this staff working late when sick and sick and pregnant they are so dedicated. Yes there are rules just like anywhere else you may live but you know that coming in when you sign the lease and if management is put in position to have to inforce those rules then of course is that not on the head of those breaking the rules as it is all aspects of one life. I guess on could say don't put your hand in the cookie jar if you don't want to get caught.
Well for that's all I have to say except loving life here at Markham Plaza hope you come soon and experience the community.

Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas is a community within itself, however, even the correctional officers at the jail are not nearely as abusive and corrupt as the management at markham plaza, & those crazy rougue cops that used to terrorise the tenants and their visitors.
