This is right in the heart of downtown San Jose. Built in 1884 and recently rennovated. 16 units on two floors. The apartment is small but adequate. We've been here only a few months. The manager has been great. The building is well kept (including the sidewalk outside) and secure. The laundry facilities are adequate. The gym is just a few cardio machines in a small room, but there's a decent athletic club a few blocks away. Parking can be a problem sometimes. The building has no parking. We rent a monthly parking pass for the garage around the corner, which is $100. Still there are no reserved spaces, so when there is an event downtown, it can be difficult. You can only get DirecTv here and they get you for an extra $20 a month for access. Your only option for high speed internet is AT&T DSL. The conveniences far outweigh the inconveniences. Several great restaurants are right downstairs. One block to light-rail. Theaters, the Shark Tank and City Hall are all within a few blocks. They did a great job of noise suppression. We never hear the neighbors. With the windos closed, we don't hear much from the streets except on special occasions when everyone is downtown partying. No pool. No pets.
