I lived at the Monterey for a year. The first 6 months was just ok. For several months the maintenance was MIA. Apparently the guy was out with health issues, but the didn't replace him for the time or even let us know that we were going to be without for three or so months. That wasn't horrible because there weren't major issues, but then some NOISY people moved in downstairs that were not only noisy at every moment that they were home, they were rude and smoked like crazy! When I first moved in, Linda told me that smoking wasn't ok, but then didn't do anything about it when MY apartment smelled horrible because of the people below me...maybe it's because she's a smoker and relates with them and didn't smell the problem'' Also, NOTHING was done about the noise. SEVERAL people complained, and it's not like Linda can control people, but something should be done when the people living below you are playing music so loud that your couch vibrates and plates rattle, don't you think'! That's not hype, either.
Basically, the place was nice and maintenance was good when they got back, but Linda doesn't do a damn thing about anything. AND they expect the place to be in better condition when you move out than when you moved in...it's --------, really. They care more about the landscaping than they do about the residents.
Parking wasn't a problem, though.
ONLY WOULD I RECCOMEND IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM DEALING WITH EVERYTHING ON YOUR OWN!! MANAGEMENT SUCKS!
