Rather Be Sleepless In Seattle Than Live At Monterey Apartments From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/8/2008 Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008   In my opinion this place is not a good place to call home for several reasons. The water was cut off every other week for two months from 9am to 5pm, then afterwards at least once a month. They enter the apartments, a lot of times without the mandatory 24 hour notice then get mad at YOU when you ask why they were in the apartment. One lady even told me it was their apartments and could do what they wanted, but legally they are supposed to give notice in non-emergency situations. When they do enter they do not clean up very well nor do they leave things the way they were. People park wherever they want. It doesn't matter if it's a no parking zone or your own parking spot tenants their don't care and the staff doesn't nothing about it unless you raise hell. Several times my parking space had someone in it and found out even in some cases the staff told their vendors and staff to park in my space! Apartment quality I was disappointed. I heard pipes very loud when people use them, cracks in my walls, hallways smell and the trash overflowing at the bins. Loud and very rude neighbors. I complained at least 4 times about neighbors playing loud music and they would say they talked to them but it continued for over 6 months until I moved. Lots of arguments were heard through my front door and through the walls and even a girl screaming about her bf hitting her in the middle of the night. The staff is not friendly after you sign on the dotted line. I really tried to give them a chance and they just were snobish and rude. They would act like I was the one doing terrible things when I asked politely about things that were problems for my roommate and I. Finally I couldn't take it anymore and decided this was not worth the hassle and we moved. I wish I would have read these reviews first before moving in.
