OK for San Jose- but beware

The grounds are nice but there are a few problems that you may get with apartment living anywhere:
1. The units around the pool and inside walkways are very noisy. The people who live here can be very disrespectful late at night. For a year we were woken up at 1, 2, 3 AM by loud noise and people. And you can call security 92 times but they in a word- SUCK. I would choose a unit that faces the parking or the street or 85.
2. Very thin walls. Last week our bedroom wall was vibrating from the music being played next door at 10:00 PM.
3. There have been some windows broken in the under ground parking garage. Not to mention the group of hoodlums that skate board and hang out in the parking garage late at night. How is a tiny old security guard supposed to kick out a group of 6 nasty punks''
4. Maintenance- sometimes good and sometimes very bad. You may need to make a maintenance call about 3 to 4 times to get something done but if you get the right guy- it'll get fixed right.
5. We had a water leak through the ceiling. It soaked d a chair and the carpet. The guys said it was from the 3rd floor backed up kitchen sink. But it was in our living room. Kinda scary as the water POURED down right through the floor/ceiling and paint- we are in the first floor. It's been a week and still nothing has been done to fix out unit- I have no idea about the 2nd and 3rd floors.
6. The gals in the front office are straight up dumb. There are two smart ones. Tracy is always helpful- those others''' Never helpful- never have the answers- never return phone calls- I am sure they never pass on our messages - missing packages that were delivered to the office- we even had mistakes on our lease- and they can't seem to keep paperwork straight. The only thing that is done right is that Management at Santa Palmia can cash our rent check right quick.
8. When we moved into our unit- the garbage disposal was clogged- nail clippings were in the bathroom drawer and the heater ran constantly even when turned off as it was broken too. But Santa Palmia took about 75% of our deposit from our first unit when we upgraded to a bigger unit. I plan to fight any charges when we finally leave our current unit as the place was not ready for people to move in.
