The complex and the apartment both look nice overall. Our one bedroom is pretty spacious and the super is a responsive and likeable guy. If you're a young, single professional type, there seems to be quite a few attractive women around. That's about where it ends...
1. Even on the top floor there's too much noise. Weekly gardening starts about 6:00AM sharp EVERY Wednesday. Railroad tracks and inconsiderate neighbors don't help much either...had to tell neighbors to turn stuff down twice recently...idiots.
2. During the summer parking is an issue. Its like BBQ/Pool Party Central. With that, I had to call the cops twice this summer because people were partying by the pool until 2:00 or 3:00 AM.
3. Gated community' Sure, there are gates. But isn't the purpose of a gate to keep people out' They rarely close all the way after you come or go. Kudos to the kids trying to earn a buck or two selling news papers, but quit bugging me.
4. Endless construction going on behind the complex. You guessed it, more noise. And forget about washing your car because it'll have a nice fresh dirt bath from dust at the construction site.
5. What's that smell' That would be dog poop. Management put out a stern warning against tennants letting their dogs relieve themselves in the courtyard areas. All of you dog owners better watch out or THEY'LL TELL YOU NOT TO DO IT AGAIN!
So, if you can stand all that (I guess I can for now), I would recommend Pavona. Besides, I heard the Esplanade apts. REALLY stink.
