The management and the complex seem very attractive when you visit them during the weekends. Seems like paradise. But the apartment complex and management are BS.
There was a break-in in our apartment last December. The cops told us that there were 3 more break-ins in the North Park community. All the management did was to increase the rate of out present apartment. They supposedly hired security agencies and personnel for patroling, but none are seen. They defy to take the responsibility of creating an unsafe complex. Brothel's operating from Pines. Dog crap in parks. Swimming pools can be used only by kids cuz they are 3ft deep. Fire alarm drills at 6-7am on weekends to wake you up from a tiring week's sleep. Thin walls enable you hear the love making in the next apartment. People generous enough to park in your assigned parking spots and not move the car for 2-3 days, also the management does nothing for that. All the do is note the number of the car and the same car is parked next weekend.
Overall I would say, if you want to show off...good deal, if you want to really live, you get better options in other apartment complexes.

The "dog people" are really a pain no matter where you live. The landscape folks tend to the planting and keep it park like, but the pee and poop and failure to pick it up is a problem; especially when the dogs are large enough to have a saddle. The pools tend to be just fine; but the issue is the "yuppie parents" who take their little kiddies into the spas with their diapers. Explain that to one of these "super moms" and you'll get a stare to melt ice..."how dare you deny my child anything...look". As to to the parking, that's just another of the annoying BMW types who are so tuned into social networking that they are not social at all...just key their car...as to the robbery, that's a shame and unfortunate. I have found the management to be very responsive to any request and most pleasant. Now the "brothel"...the noisy love making...that's news to me...I have always found the people way too quiet...I'm shocked to get a basic hello or eye contact. Is the brothel on the NorthPark website as a benefit or detriment to rental. It brings new meaning to the Stimulus Package.

Have any of you looked around for another apartment? Can you recommend a nice clean place that accepts dogs and has better parking?
