I have been a resident for many years. When I first arrived the PM was not so concerned about leasing 100% the PM was more concerned about the type of people living in the complex. Now I'm not so sure. With the new PM I have seen an increased push for more money (A/C unit rental, parking sticker deposit), new rules (No BBQing) and a higher presence of both the police and fire departments.

I would like to agree with most of the complaints regarding the noise. I too live in a first floor apartment and the sounds that come from the apartment above are loud and odd. Most of the time it sounds as if the person(s) living there are coming through the ceiling.

If anyone is concidering moving here think very carefully. This may not be the perfect "Home".

I am so surprised when people rate an apartment. The manager is only doing her job, as the owners dictate. The no bbqing came from the fire marshall. The fire department use our community as a training ground for there men. The city of San Jose has required we remove all window a/c units. The new units being installed are portables, that is why a deposit. If you don't steal the a/c unit you get your deposit back. I think the manager and owners are trying to stay with in the law. That sometimes is a difficult thing to do. I have been here for two years and am very happy and feel very safe.

And I think we can all be assured the above post is from the manager. Total nonsense. Read the posts from *actual* residents, and steer clear.

The PM is not only an idiot, but also a liar. My suggestion to that person is A: Start telling the truth, or B: keep better track of the lies you tell and whom you tell them too. This complex is poorly managed at best and in all actuality is falling apart at the seams. I hope the owner knows what is going on here, because I can assure you the neglect and deterioration of whole complex in the past year is going to catch up soon. Also, please look for someone to manage this place that actually knows what they are doing! Call me old fashioned, but there is something to be said for A PERSONALITY! Don't get me wrong, work ethic would be nice too, but hey....... Do yourself a favor and DO NOT rent from here. BTW - When you say "new appliances" in units, you should also mention that the last time that statement was updated was 1995. Oh, another thing that's important for an "Apartment Manager" to be able to do - spell and to use various forms of a word correctly (ie: their, there, etc...). If the above post IS from the manager, enough said!
