It's interesting how two threads for the same complex are so different. This is the same review I left at the first thread:

We lived here for over two years. The first year was ok, except for multiple break ins to our cars. The second year was horrible! We had long standing maintenence issues that took Months to be reconciled. We had no fire alarm for 6 months. We had broken sinks in the kitchen and bathroom for over a month, and then a broken dishwasher/garbage disposal for two weeks at the end of that time. At one point, someone came in, took the bathroom sink apart, and then left it that way for several weeks. We had a weak spot in the hall which kept getting bigger. Management didn't want to do anything about it until it got so big we couldn't walk around it anymore. Then she tried to say it was from pet urine. We had caged small animals that were rarely let out...... so I don't think that was the issue.

The auto break ins just kept getting worse. One of our cars was stolen on christmas. When we told the manager all she did was express worry for her brand new car. Thanks so much lady. I guess that was the best we should have expected since this same woman liked to ignore requests for maintinence (see above), tried to lie to make repairs our fault, and parked everyday in the only disabled parking spot in the entire complex.

This complex left us feeling frustrated, unsafe, and often uncomfortable due to maintinence problems. It was not a place I was glad to call home. I would never, ever live here again. It is not worth the stress and constant hassle we experienced.

I think the 1 bedrooms in the front are better than the 2 bedrooms in the back. We liked our one bedroom well enough, so when we renewed, we got a 2 bedroom. It was all downhill from there. I hope for everyone;'s sake that the manager left. The assistant manager who was there the first year was really nice and helpful. After she left, thats when things got really bad.

We live in a 1 bedroom in the front and things have been getting worse for us too. Shelter Creek looks nice enough, but anyone who stays here for a while will see how progressively worse things are getting-and that's in light of all the "upgrades". Grrr, can't wait to move!
