The first year that I lived at The Cypress everything seemed fine...Until I got the notice for lease renewal. I was already paying top dollar for rent, and now they want to increase it by 20%. The Cypress does offer good move in specials. Just be prepared for a rate hike after your term is up. During my second and last year at the Cypress, my upstairs neighbors had 2 dogs. The constant barking got annoying, but they are a dog friendly complex, so you just have to live with it. Overall the complex is decent for a short-term stay. It never really feels like home, more like you are staying at a hotel. The grounds are pretty well kept and the maintenance staff were always good about repairing things quickly. As some other posts have mentioned the management are pretty bad. Some of the nicer leasing staff have left, and those who remain have a chip on their shoulder. Ultimately the Cypress and neighboring complexes are owned by a larger corporation. Mainly their concern is making money and as soon as you leave they start to treat you with attitude and disrespect. When I was turning in my garage door remote and keys, I recall the Manager telling the new associate that she did not know how to reset/reprogram the remotes. She had to wait for some other staff member to do it. In my opinion, that is just ridiculous and shows the competency of the management.
