I see nothing but changes around here. With a new management staff we have noticed a diffrence in the way thing that have been a problem in the past are being handled. Its nice to see the evolving changes.Things are getting better. I have lived here for a few years now and yes things have been a problem befor but now are realy looking up. Its nice. If more of us who live here did our part in working with management im sure that the improvements would be more noticable and effective. so dont complain unless you are truly doing your part to help.

R U INSANE? So if we "work with management" how will that get rid of the gangsters, the drug dealers, the trash and the constant noise? "Don't complain unless you're doing your part to help?" What should we do -- arrest the bad neighbors? Call the cops more? You GOTTA work there, so why don't YOU do YOUR part? HA HA HA, what a joke |

A suggestion to the above. What I see as a resident is a lack of staff or personnel leaving the business office other than to show an apartment. Other than the maintanace people you rarely see anyone from the leasing staff or management walk the complex and address issues with the tenants as they see them. I also feel that the screening process when renting an apt needs to be re-visited. several times you have one person applying and 5-6 moving in. The lack of proper screening when renting an apt and the lack of management presents on the actual grounds addressing issues with the tenants only results in a lower standard of tenant. We cannot judge people by how baggy there pants are etc but we can ask management to step up on there end. I have noticed that we have went through 4-5 community managers within the last year. I also notice that we (the tenants) never get any type of notice of this change. Most complexes will send out a notice indicating such a change. Also If management went around using the staff that is already there with a clipboard maybe everyother hour addressing issues with tenants you would find that most tenants are willing to adhere to your requests. Noise levels/inproper or crowded balconys/etc. but its like the old saying goes if your not going to ask they are not going to fix it. This is a large complex and considerably old. Therefore the walls are thin etc so noise levels should be addressed. The wieght room as a brand new machine that is already broken. I dont think management knows about it because it has been broken for several weeks. This is a brand new machine therefore it should be under warranty. Yet management may not know about it, again because they refuse to leave the leasing/business office unless absolutely necessary. One community manager that I have noticed use to continually walk the premises throughout the day and he is gone. Not to take pop shots at the management, however your the first face of college park apts. Washers and dryers continuously breaddown at a loss to the tenants. Notices are put on the doors of tenants when they are late on the rent. If managment took the same agressive IMMEDIATE approach as they do when your late on your rent and getting the pay or quit notice out then they might find that they would have a much easier job. My opinion be agressivly looking for issues while your there. Be aggessive and leave the leasing office and walk the premises. Be aggressive and knock on some doors rather than leaving a note on someones door and approach issue headon so that those that do not follow the rules will be identified and delt with accordingly rather than having the tenants do that job. Be agressive and let the tenants know that your aware of washers being broke or exercise equipment is broken but that your working on it. Be agressive when renting to new tenants and thoroughly let them know that when someone rents an apartment and they say 2 people will live there than that is how many people should live there. Follow up with a visit to the new tenants after they have moved in this will provide a sence of community concern to the tenant and a quick check from the management to see who actually moved in to that facility. Be agressive if tenants know that managment will be walking around the premises the will be less likely to be loud to do things that are not appropriate to the community.(writing on walls etc) be agressive to knock on doors and question issues that look to be of concern.

I am a tenant in this slum....I have asked the managment on a DOZEN diffrent occations to do somethying about the security problems around here........They tell me to get the apartment number of the people doing it......as if its MY job.....First off....would you follow a person carring a crowbar and had just broken the gate back to their apartment??? This is NOT our job as tenants......We pay the rent and keep our place clean. We have tried for 5 months to work with these people...time and time and time again. Now its time for us to fight back.....look for a news story comming soon to a CBS station near you. This will tell the truth about this place. See if you like this complex after that. As far as being agressive about others and the things they do.....ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? Do a bit of research about this place...there are covicted child molesters and felons living here........are you gonna get in their face and be high and mighty?????? Most of the people here would Kill you and then go have dinner. ANIMALS TREAT THEMSELVES BETTER!!!!!!! |
