I just walked through the place and it didn't seem that bad. Most of the reviews here seem very negative and biased. It would be helpful if someone wrote a more thoughtful, less emotional review. Is that possible''' BTW they are now asking for $1115/month for a 1 bedroom.

THANK YOU! It's hard to figure out how serious or prevalent a problem is when ex-residents make every place on this site sound like Dante's Inferno compressed into one apt complex.

The unfortunate thing is that those that lived here have had a very personal one on one experienc with the entire management staff and it always is the same. they can't do anything about anything. I your comment you stated you walked through the facility. You should really try living there before you assume that those that are writing these comments are bias. The comments being made on this site are from people that have lived here for some time and experienced first hand what this complex is capable of. so treat yourself to an experience of a lifetime and we wall all wait for your reponse to your stay at this horrible complex. AND YES, IT IS THAT BAD!!!!

Do not rent anything from Spieker Companies! He treats the tenants like dog poop. He will lease an apt. for 6 months and then jack the rent up $200 if you want to stay. He just bought this complex and all have been given 60 days notice to vacate. The rent was below going rate in a 1956 complex. NOT TO BUILDING CODES!! So I am moving out but have to put up with construction with new windows in an apt. that I will not be living in! I'am calling the Cops!!

I am looking for a review in 2008 - I noticed that the name changed to 'The Grove' and apparently they are doing renovation. Is the place getting better at least?

Once it changed to the Grove, it got significantly worse. I think fondly of the days when it was still College Park, and it wasn't even that great then.

the bias comment person is an idiot. listen to the reviews. mine has nothing to do with money or emotions. we're trying to tell you this place sucks. yeah you probably walked through and thought what we all thought at first glance. but if you want to stay an idiot why even check out the reviews?
