My boyfriend and I have been a resident of the Grove apt. for almost a year now. We've had so many negative experiences, or should I say ONLY negative experiences we DON T RECOMMEND ANYONE TO LIVE HERE. The only reason why we ve stayed here for a year is because the leasing office will not let us out early on our lease without paying a penalty fee and we can t afford it.
We had problems with the leasing managers before we even moved in. Our date to move in was set, but we were forced to move in a week later because they couldn t finish the carpet cleaning in time. And the leasing manager let me know only 2 days before we were supposed to move in, which left us only 2 days to move out from our old apt and move in to the grove . I mentioned to the staff that we have to move out of our old apt on a certain day because our lease will end and we had planned so that we don t have to rush the move. Nothing changed and the staff blamed everything on the maintenance people.
As some people mentioned, parking is HORRIBLE here. One slot is assigned and if you have a 2nd car or more you have to park in free/guest parking (which gets all full by 6pm-7pm). Also I think there are a lot of the residents in the apt that is NOT signed up w/the lease. When I come home from work there is at lease one or two cars infront of the gate waiting for someone with the gate opener to open the gate or come out from the parking lot so the gate will open. It is really unsafe.
And the worst news for us, our car got stolen. And the car actually got stolen between 2pm-9pm!! If it was middle of the night I could understand, but during the day time'! There was glass all over the parking lot where we parked the car. No resident saw nothing, no one reported anything, security wasn t there, it is just horrible.
There is so much more I can say, but we are moving out this month and we just don t want anyone else to experience what we had to go through. So DON T LIVE HERE.
