Don't move to the Grove

If anyone is considering a move to the Grove, don't! I was in a situation where I had to find an apartment immediately, and the Grove was the first OK place I found. I wish I had the time to research this place and see how bad it really is. Here are just some of the problems I have encountered so far (I've been living here for 7 months now):
* Parking is horrible for visitors. My boyfriend comes over a lot, and I always have to park my car in a visitors spot so he can use my carport. After 5 PM, the parking fills up pretty fast. I've driven around for 20 minutes looking for a spot before.
* Within the first month of living here, I went home after work to discover my kitchen table and chairs all moved around, and a big hole in the wall. I called the emergency maintenance line to see what was up, and they said someone came in to reinforce my balcony. I NEVER received a notice of entry from management/the leasing office. I called the leasing office the next morning and told them what happened. They claimed that they put a notice on every ones door, and that some little kid must have torn my notice off my door. They apologized, but that was it. I also noticed that none of my neighbors had notices on their doors.
* I've received notices of entry to do maintenance so many times, I've lost count. They are "improving" the complex and require entry for entire months at a time. When they make an improvement, they never finish the job.
* I called to put in a work order to get my walls painted. Maintenance had to make holes in my dining room and bedroom walls. They patched the holes, but never painted over them. I called in the work order, waited 5 days, and they never came. I called the leasing office and the lady said that whoever took my work order never requested maintenance to do it. She had maintenance go in that day to fill my request. I got home from work to discover only one of the walls was painted (which they did a bad job on). So I called the next morning to have the second wall painted. All in all, I had to call the leasing office FOUR times to get two walls painted.
* They have a no pet policy, but I see cats in the windows and hear dogs barking all the time.
* Everyone is so inconsiderate here. My neighbors upstairs have kids and they are always pounding on the ground and making my walls shake. Its very frustrating to have to put up with the noise every single day. People are always loud passed 10 pm, and in the summer you can count on hearing music coming from the pool until wee hours of the morning. The hallway to my apartment always smells like a nasty, musty old casino. Yuck!
* Someone put a pair of girls underwear on my doorknob.
* The leasing office in not lenient at all! There is a 3 day grace period for rent. I brought in my rent on the 4th day right when the office opened. They still charged me the $100 late fee. I understand its a business and rules have to be followed, but it was the first time I turned in my rent late. I was expecting a warning at most.
The only thing I like about this place is the inside of the apartment looks nice. The walls are actually painted a color instead of all white, and the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom all have new facing.
I know this is a really long review, but it kind of goes to show how bad this place is. I hope you find this review helpful.

I hate this place. I've been here for 2 years now and I'm glad to be moving next month. The holes on my walls have been there for more than 6 months. I was late one day on my rent, like you I paid on the fourth and got charged 100$. Those girls are a bunch a fake ------- just like the fake colors of their hairs. Especially the -----------....hahahahaha...what a joke!!!! They also lost my rent money and told me I had to pay for it, I fought them and said no...they obviously posted my rent money on the wrong account and they have the nerve to deny that I never paid a portion of my rent. Lucky thing I kept my receipts and checked them, which I found out was cashed on the same day....my advise is to make sure to have those ------- sign your receipt...even though they say this is your receipt and no signature is required, make sure to do this so you have back up in case they lose your rent money. Funny thing is, they are trying to bribe us to stay, but ---- no is all I can say...we found a better and cheaper place where there is peace and quite and no fake ------- or greedy management. Sayonara to this ---- whole is all have to say.
