Management of this complex is taking steps to convert the complex to condominiums. As part of your lease, you will be required to sign a sheet ("Notice of Intent to Convert") indicating that you are aware of this and, if the application with the city is approved, you may be required to move.
So, if you don't like to move, you may want to avoid this property.
See http://www.sanjoseca.gov/planning/hearings/2006/Director/20 (item 3(c) - marked as T05-014) for info on consideration/public hearing regarding the conversion.

I went to the office freaking out about it and they explained that they are applying to be classified as condos - does not mean they are up for sale. They also promised to give adequate notice when andf if they sell!

Funny thing is....they DID sell the complex this year (2008) and they never told the residents until the deal was done. SIGH....now they are making advertisements for the property and the place does not have these amenities currently. amazing!!
