The Park at Winchester

Like "the projects" but more expensive. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 10/29/2002 Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2002   Buildings are old, with old fixtures and outlets. When I moved in 2 1/2 years ago, all appliances were new. Shortly after I got new carpet. Some fixtures are rusting, cupboards and trim have several layers of chipping paint. Window screens are bent. High turnover with maintanence and management. Scary at night... parking lot is gated but not property and I'm not concerned about criminals that are so lazy they need to drive in. Its dark and there are a lot of bushes/greenery so I walk quickly at night. Proximity to convenience stores, dry cleaning, restaurants is nice, but not after dark. This property falls in an anti-gang initiative zone, where the city gets restraining orders to keep gangsters away from businesses. Its an award winning program for San Jose, but do you really want to live in an area that has a gang problem'
