OK - I know that a lot of apts. allow pets these days, but I moved here when the market was at approx. $1300 for a 1 bedroom - and no one allowed pets!
I have been generally happy here. Here are my pros and cons.
Cons:
The floors are creaky.
The quality of carpet is crap.
The building is old.
The neigborhood is shady.
Office staff are a bunch of -------.
Pros:
A one bedroom unit is 800sf, this is a huge apartment.
The complex is beautifully landscaped. There are 3 pools.
The clubhouse and workout room are fabulous.
There are saunas and a steam room.
There are tennis courts and a raquetball court.

As the Manager of Valley West Apts. I take exception to the comment regarding the staff. We are professional and helpful to all of our residents. It has been my experience during my 17 years here at Valley West that the residents who make these types of comments and remain anonymous are residents who have violated a policy or have been denied a request and don't like what they here. I don't think we can be too bad since this resident has lived here for 4 years. The market has changed dramatically and there are several apt. communities that allow pets. This resident has choices. I take pride in the service we offer and our quick response to resident requests.
