Yo!

A nice affordable apartment

I've lived here now since the middle of january 2008. Our apartment by far exceeded a lot of the apartments we looked at. Everything was new when we moved in. New ceiling fans, new lights, new light switches, new outlet covers, new carpet, kitchen and bathroom flooring. The kitchen area was a little smaller than I was used to but you definitely make up the space in the living room and the bedroom. The apartment allows up to two cats and upon finding out that we have cats they even put up extra screening around our balcony. Not that we let our cats outside anyway but it was still nice of them. There is a pet deposit per pet but it wasn't too outrageous.

Water, Waste, and Gas are all paid by the complex so the only Utilities we have are Electric and Cable. This in it's self saves at least $50 a month not too mention you don't have to worry about the deposits with the utility companies. The manager of the complex is really nice and friendly. We get to pay by personal check and rent is not late until the 5th every month.

Our apartment is relatively quiet. The only time I can hear other people is when I'm walking down the hallway. You can faintly hear the dishwasher if a neighbor is using it but they have a rule that your not supposed to run it after 9pm and I've never had a problem with it. Our apartment has a great view of the clubhouse and the pool. All the landscaping and the trees make this a very pretty view. We thoroughly enjoy our balcony. There are squirrels and hummingbirds and doves around all the time that give the place a nice feel. We sleep with the windows open quite frequently and never have too much of a problem with the street noise. Yes occasionally you hear a loud motorcycle or a siren but it's not going on consistently and a noise here and there doesn't bother me.

There are no laundry hookups in the apartments however there are laundry rooms on every floor that each contain 2-3 washers and 2-3 dryers. They are coin-op but at least we don't have to go outside or downstairs to do laundry.

The clubhouse was nice when we first moved in. It had a fitness room, a pool table, and a ping pong table. They are currently renovating the clubhouse so that it is only a fitness center.

We own two cars and usually only about once every other week do we have problems finding a parking spot for the second car. The complex does rent out additional garage parking spaces and it goes by a waiting list. I think it's an additional $20 or $30 for another space I'm not sure.

The area is nice. Meridian can be a little bit busy at times but I've never had problems getting in or out of the complex. The location is right next to 280 and only an exit or so from 880. I can hop on the freeway and get to work in Milpitas in about 10 mins. That is as long as it's not rush hour. Within 5-10 mins of driving you have: Santana Row, Valley Fair Mall, Downtown Willow Glen, The Pruneyard, Downtown Campbell.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay so far here at Willow Glen apartments and would recommend the complex to anyone as an affordable nice complex
