PROS

For a city such as San Marcos, it's one of the more affordable apartments. Not only is the price reasonable, but it's beautiful as well. The manager, Angie, is very nice, and gets issues resolved quickly. It has security that patrols the area, and it's gated. It's located across the street from an elementary school( Don't worry there's no noise what so ever). There's tons of restaurants down the street, and many other shops and entertainment.

CONS

There are a few things I'd like to complain about. That being; no central air, insufficient closet space, and the walls/ceilings are too thin. Meaning that we can hear our neighbors from up above or to the side if they are being too loud. Also I would note that it would seem more reasonable to have had the 1 bedroom units above the 2 bedroom units. The more people you have living above you equals more noise, and that's true for Benchmark. As in our case, the tenant above us is a heavy walker with obvious signs of insomnia. It was like living underneath a stomping elephant that never went to sleep. We went to the manager about our dilemma, and the noise has toned down greatly.
