Today is my "pre" check-out review. I have been sitting in my apartment for 53 minutes now and no one has shown up. Kristine at the front office said she would call and have someone come over.

What is the point of an appointment if it is not going to be upheld.

Last night while trying to clean this place we blew not a fuse but a wire or something. I tried popping the fuse but it was electrical. Come on now, the wires are from 1971!!! of course they are going to die by 2009!

Finally someone just came in, walked around, and then left and said he would give his report to the office. What report''!''!'! That this place just has some paint issues, like the pained countertops that began to peel from the moment we moved in'

The only nice thing is the pool was just re-done and now its gorgeous and warm and probably the only highlight of living here.

We live on the second floor of the 2bdrm units (2 stories in all) and OMG could it be any freaking hotter in these upstairs units. The windows have to be constantly open, fans blowing, etc. And still it is 80 degrees here. On those really hot days of 95-100 degrees we had to buy a portable a.c. unit. But not just any particular one because the amps were to high and kept blowing the fuses. We had to buy a really expensive energy efficient noise maker for any type of relief. Even with that running day and night its still too damn hot in here. Seriously this is the pits of hell.

The kicker was one day just after the construction finished (9months of "beautification") they asked us with a note to renew our lease for 15 months at our current rate... during a down economy...really, why would I pay $1890 for 15 more months when the market rate online for the same unit is $1650'!''! what type of nut job do they take me for.

When we went to give our 30 day notice, the manager tried given some lame ass excuse about Aimco's shareholders are the one that dictates that they can't lower rent when a lease is up... Really, Hillsdale garden just did it to my friend, lowered is $200 so they would re-sign.

Don't even think about going to the front office for anything, you will get attitude and what they think is joking around but border line obnoxious and rude.

The one thing i will miss is the wife beater next store, the downstairs guy that screams on his cell phone every morning back to the home land at 5am, hunting for parking since no one uses their carports (i'm sorry I have 2 cars), the painted countertops that peel, the mold on the windows (pre-renovation), and the lovely garbage disposal that breaks every month. This place is great... NOT!

My recommendation, look elsewhere, don't fall prey like I did. I read some reviews and thought I would give it a chance thinking there were a few disgruntled tenants. Boy was I wrong, this place truly is the pits of hell!

Go to Archstone Redwood Shores if you want the same amenities and less drama and no mold.

I am glad that it is time to go, the seconds cant come quick enough when I turn in those keys next week.

OMG! This is just another tenant's horror story! BUT WAIT-- According to the review posted by a WAH WAH WAH, we're supposed to put up with this..and get over it! So they kept you waiting- so what? So it's filled with mold- PUT UP WITH IT! So what if they are nasty people? Bake them cookies! Seriously, you sound like you've been through a nightmare and glad to get out. There are lots of apartments offering more at lower rents. And a notice to tenants who are deciding to stay A word of warning. We just received out renewal and the new lease is going to be $1547.00/mo Almost a couple of hundreds of dollars more. And if you go month to month, then add another $200.00 How can AIMCO continue to let this happen? Good luck in your new apt. Be happy and put this behind you. Anywhere is better than this place. Vaya con Dios my friends
