General Manager on site BUT does not rent units

Woodlake is not an apartment complex, but a Home Owners Association. The management office that is located on site does not handle rentals, it is the office that manages the Association, grounds, vendors and works with the owners and non-owner residents taking care of common area mainteance issues. This is very confusing to those looking for a rental. Since this complex was built in 1967 as apartments, then was changed to a co-op and then finally in 1967 each unit was sold as an indivigual condominium unit. Each unit has it's own owner. So if looking for a unit to rent you can look in the paper or contact a rental agency that contracts with a owner to manage their unit.

The complex is getting prepared for a major renovation project. All units will get new double pane windows, elevators rebuilt, roofing completed, amounst some things as well as the main pool area completely rebuilt and modernized.

The lake in the middle of the complex will be have the areation system redone and will continue to supply a home for the wild life that frequents it.

The renovation project will be setup to have minimal inconvenience to residents, but there will be work taking place for the next 18 months or so. It will organized and carefully monitoried by construction management, architecs and general contractors.

There are a couple of Realtors that specialize in renting units at Woodlake. One is up the street from the complex and is called Anchor Management. The other was dis-located about a year ago and has now got a new office right next door to the complex in the shopping center. It is called Woodlake Brockerage and will and is right next door to Starbucks. They also have a lender in their office for those looking to talk about possibilites of purchasing a unit now or in the future.

Woodlake is not a senior community, however is about 50% elderly. The make up of residents seems to be changing to middle aged and more families moving into the complex. All are welcomed.

The thing everyone must always be aware of here at Woodlake and at any condominiumm complex is that because it is, close quarters living, who your neigbor is can make your day, or make it miserable. I highly suggest that when you look at wher you are thinking about living that you check out or ask to meet who your neighbor is going to be. May sound forward, but, as I said you will be living 6 inches (wall thickness) away from someone and you may want to get an a feel whether or not it is someone(s) you can get along with.

Location is important, check out where the pools are (Woodlake has 7), garbage rooms, laundry rooms and so on....if you have tender ears...

Woodlake is a gem on the peninsula...but you must realize it is a condominium complex, with rules and regulations. Make sure your rental agent provides you a copy of the rules so you can review them PRIOR to signing your contract. These are things I would recommend you do for yourself to make sure you are finding a place to live where you can enjoy yourself and relax.

Woodlake has great emminities 7 pools, 18 hole putting green, 4 tennis courts, 2 weight rooms, and full gym, men and womens saunas, hot tub (sauna), billari room and full club house with social staff and two rooms available for rental for those who have personal functions (parties).

Woodlake also has a guest unit. As long as the owner or rental agent gives their ok, you can rent it for $85 per night, if you have guests that want to visit. If is furnished has a kitchen and the Association provides the maid serivce for the unit.

The complex has a huge lake in the middle filled with wild life and has benches around it with mature landscaping and is very relaxing.

I am the General Manger for the Association. I do not do rentals but thought that this information would be helpful for those looking for a rental unit in the complex.

Good LucK in finding your home
